Instrument coverage

York Municipal’s compact procedure set provides two RNAV (GPS) approaches serving two runway ends, giving instrument coverage in both directions rather than concentrating it on one end. No airport diagram is published. The runway choice is notably uneven: the 5,900 ft concrete runway is 1,419 ft longer than the turf runway, making runway length and surface requirements important distinctions between the two alignments.

Nearby and VFR coverage

Aurora Municipal/Al Potter Field has the same number of published charts as York. Each of the other listed nearby fields has three, so their chart coverage is only slightly thinner. The Omaha Sectional adds the broader visual and airspace context absent from the airport’s instrument procedures.
