Approach coverage is concentrated on one end

Lorain County Regional’s three approach charts collectively provide ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures, but every published approach serves the same end of Runway 07/25. This provides several forms of instrument guidance on one arrival alignment, while the reciprocal end has no published approach. With only one 5,002 ft runway, there is no second runway alignment represented in the procedure set.

Nearby coverage and VFR context

Cleveland-Hopkins International has the broadest nearby chart set, followed by Burke Lakefront. Elyria, Norwalk/Huron County and Medina Municipal have much thinner coverage. The Detroit Sectional supplies wider VFR context, while the Cleveland Terminal Area Chart adds more focused visual coverage.
