Malden Regional’s four RNAV (GPS) approaches serve all four ends of its two runways. Instrument coverage is therefore spread across both alignments rather than concentrated on a preferred runway end. The two runways are also almost identical in length at roughly 5,000 ft, so neither provides a meaningful length advantage when selecting an alignment.
Among nearby airports, Poplar Bluff Regional Business has the closest breadth of published chart coverage, although its set remains smaller than Malden’s; Gideon Memorial, Dexter Municipal, County Memorial and Kennett Memorial each have thinner sets. The Kansas City and St Louis sectionals add broader VFR and regional context beyond the terminal procedures.
