Middle Georgia Regional has instrument approaches serving all four runway ends, rather than concentrating coverage on a single alignment. The six published approach charts span ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) procedures, giving the set both ground-based and satellite-based coverage. With 05/23 extending 1,500 ft beyond 14/32, any operation requiring more than 5,000 ft of runway is limited to the longer alignment.
Robins AFB has a slightly broader procedure set nearby, while Macon Downtown and Perry-Houston County have notably thinner coverage. Cochran and Dr C P Savage Sr are thinner again. The Atlanta Sectional adds the wider visual context around Macon that the airport diagram and terminal procedures do not provide.
