Cochran’s instrument coverage is concentrated on one runway end: the sole published approach is RNAV (GPS), leaving the other three ends without an approach procedure. The two runway alignments provide different available lengths, with 11/29 offering 1,198 ft more than 05/23; the longer strip therefore sets the field’s maximum published runway length at 4,400 ft.
Nearby chart coverage is generally broader. Robins AFB has the largest set at more than three times Cochran’s total, followed by Middle Georgia Regional. Heart of Georgia Regional, W H ‘Bud’ Barron and Perry-Houston County have smaller collections, but still exceed Cochran’s sparse set. The Atlanta Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation context not provided by the single approach and minimums sheets.
