Approach and runway pattern

Union County’s two instrument approaches are both RNAV (GPS), with two of the airport’s four runway ends served. The set therefore provides GPS arrival coverage on only half of the available ends, with no other approach type published. Runways 08/26 and 09/27 are similarly aligned, so the second strip adds little directional choice. The 4,218 ft asphalt runway is 1,696 ft longer than the turf runway, making it the only strip long enough for an operation requiring more than 2,522 ft.

Regional chart context

Ohio State University and Bolton Field have substantially broader procedure sets, while Delaware Municipal/Jim Moore Field has only one more chart than Union County. Madison County and Grimes Field match Union County’s compact total. The Cincinnati and Detroit sectionals add broader visual context beyond the airport-specific RNAV procedures.
