At Mid-State, two runways provide four runway ends, but published approaches serve only two of them. The compact set comprises one RNAV (GPS) approach and one VOR approach, giving two forms of instrument guidance without coverage for every runway direction. Runway 16/34 is 705 ft longer than 06/24, so the principal dimensional difference between the two alignments is modest.
State College Regional has the broadest nearby chart set, with Mifflin County next. Clearfield-Lawrence sits between those larger collections and the thinner coverage at Bellefonte and William T Piper Memorial, whose chart totals match Mid-State’s. The Detroit and New York sectional charts add wider VFR context beyond the procedure-specific instrument sheets.
