Stockton Metro’s instrument coverage is focused on two of its four fixed-wing runway ends. Both ILS and RNAV (GPS) procedures are represented, with a localiser option and CAT II/III minima attached to one ILS. This gives those two alignments several approach methods, while the opposite ends have no published approach. The airport’s parallel runways differ sharply in scale: the 10,245-ft runway is more than twice the length of the 4,448-ft runway, leaving larger aircraft with one substantially more generous runway-length option.
Tracy Municipal has a chart set almost as broad as Stockton’s, while Modesto’s is somewhat smaller. Lodi, Byron and Oakdale have much thinner procedure coverage. The San Francisco Sectional adds the wider visual and aeronautical context beyond the close-in detail of the terminal procedures.
