Modesto’s two approach plates concentrate ILS/localiser and RNAV (GPS) procedures on a single runway end. The other three ends have no published approach, so the instrument coverage is directional rather than distributed across the parallel runways. The airport diagram is particularly useful for distinguishing the two similarly aligned strips.
Runway 10L/28R provides 2,440 ft more length than its parallel, making the two runways materially different when matching available length to an aircraft. Nearby chart coverage is broadest at Stockton Metro, with Tracy Municipal and Castle close behind; Oakdale and especially Turlock Municipal have much thinner procedure sets. The San Francisco Sectional adds regional visual-navigation context that the airport diagram and instrument procedures do not provide.
