Salina Regional’s seven approach plates serve four of its eight fixed-wing runway ends, so instrument coverage is concentrated rather than available for every alignment. The mix includes ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS), VOR and NDB procedures, providing several forms of guidance rather than relying on GPS alone. Runway 17/35 is markedly longer than the field’s other runways, giving the layout one principal long strip alongside three shorter crossing alignments.
Nearby procedure coverage is much thinner: Lyons-Rice County Municipal is the closest comparison with five charts, while the other listed fields have three or four. The Kansas City and Wichita sectionals overlap at Salina, adding wider visual-route and geographic context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
