Freeman Fld’s instrument coverage is concentrated on a single RNAV (GPS) approach to one runway end. The remaining five runway ends have no published approach, while the absence of an airport diagram leaves the chart set focused narrowly on that arrival procedure. The 3,498 ft asphalt runway is materially longer than either turf strip, both of which are under 2,000 ft; the additional alignments therefore do not provide comparable runway length.
Among nearby fields, Manhattan Rgnl has the broadest procedure set, with more than twice the chart coverage of Marshall AAF, Abilene Muni or Herington Rgnl; Clay Center Muni is thinner still. The Kansas City and Wichita sectional charts add broader VFR context around Junction City that the terminal procedure does not supply.
