Lanai’s four instrument procedures all serve the same end of runway 03/21, leaving the reciprocal end without a published approach. The mix is unusually varied for one runway end: ILS/localiser, RNAV (GPS) and two VOR procedures provide several forms of guidance rather than repeated variants of one approach type. With a single 5,001 ft runway, there is no alternative runway alignment.
Kahului has the broadest nearby procedure set, while Molokai also has substantially more coverage than Lanai. Kalaupapa and Hana have thinner sets of comparable scale.
