Go PROCape Lisburne sits at the centre of a sheet stretching across Alaska’s Chukchi Sea coast, from extensive offshore waters to the western North Slope and inland Arctic country. The Lisburne Peninsula, northern reaches of Kotzebue Sound and western Brooks Range give the coverage a marked contrast between exposed coastline, low tundra and increasingly rugged terrain. Its northern portion reaches well into the Chukchi Sea, while the southern and eastern areas take in more of north-west Alaska’s remote interior.
The chart’s eastern edge meets two sectionals. Point Barrow continues coverage from the northern part of the boundary, following the Arctic coast and North Slope, while Fairbanks carries routes onward from the more southerly inland portion. The Nome sheet adjoins to the south, providing the natural continuation for routes towards the lower Chukchi coast and western Alaska. Together, these joins matter for flights crossing between coastal, mountain and interior landscapes rather than remaining around Cape Lisburne itself.
