This package features two detailed Cathay Pacific repaints created specifically for the Lockheed L-188 Electra by Team FS KBT, designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Each livery highlights classic Hong Kong-inspired design elements and showcases the unique lines of this iconic four-engine turboprop. Repaints are courtesy of Fabio Cabral (fscabral), and they require the freeware Team FS KBT base model, which is available in the Fly Away Simulation library.

Within this download, you will find two separate texture folders (texture.CATHAY and texture.CATHAY2). Both feature different variants of Cathay Pacific’s historic color schemes. To experience these liveries accurately, ensure that you have already installed the “Lockheed Electra L-188 (L-188_ELECTRA_X.ZIP)” base package created by Team FS KBT. These textures have been tested in FSX environments to maintain authenticity and visual quality without impacting simulator performance.

Installing the Repaints

• Locate your ELEC_PASS folder inside the base aircraft directory.
• Place texture.CATHAY and texture.CATHAY2 into this ELEC_PASS folder.

In addition, open the aircraft.cfg file (found within the same folder) and append the following entries. Remember to replace “x” with the appropriate sequence number so it follows the existing [fltsim] entries in your configuration.
