FSX / P3D

Wellington International

Wellington International Airport (NZWN) receives a practical FSX default-airport refresh, adding missing gates where space allows, smarter assigned parking, extra parking and fuel trucks, a helipad on the western apron, and an extended vehicle road for a tidier layout. Designed to work smoothly alongside AI traffic setups, with no extras required.

Wellington International Airport (NZWN), New Zealand. This BGL file is only for the FSX default airport: the missing gates now added where possible, with some assigned parking including extra parking and additional fuel trucks, a helipad added to the western apron and the vehicle road extended. By Ray Smith.

My thanks to Jim Vile and Reggie Fields for their information to get these files operating in FSX, fully tested with Ultimate Traffic but not required.

To Install:

  1. Simply take the FSX_nzwn.BGL file and place it into: Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery/scenery folder.
  2. Start up the Flight sim and the changes will be present.

To Uninstall:

  1. Delete the FSX_nzwn.BGL file and the default will then be active.

I hope you like the improvements, this is only a basic gate change with a few more changes and a general tidy up. If any MS errors are here they will still remain until an AFCAD style program is available.

Lee Swordy is surely missed but not forgotten.

Enjoy and happy flying.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
