Manchester Airport EGCC gets an updated AFCAD for FSX that aligns with Horizon VFR scenery while staying compatible with the default layout. Extra gates and taxiways improve ground flow, runway designations update to 05L/23R and 05R/23L, and coded parking helps AI traffic use appropriate stands with more reliable ATC runway selection.

A top-down airport layout displays a single long runway, multiple taxiways, parking stands, and various green-marked vegetation areas.

This scenery lines up the Manchester UK AFCAD with the Horizon VFR scenery, although it can be used with the default scenery as well. It adds extra gates and taxiways to Manchester. The runway numbers are updated from FSX to their real world numbers 05L/23R and 05R/23L. All gates are coded to allow traffic to park in the correct places.

Update: Fixes problem with ATC only using runway 05 regardless of wind. Due to a limitation within FSX runway 23R is used for take off and 23L for landing, this is not the case in real life but can't be helped. By Leo Allan.

Installation:

Just place the AFX_EGCC.bgl file in the Addon scenery/scenery folder and run FSX, it's that easy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D AFCAD file

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place AFCAD file

AFCAD files (AF2_*.bgl or AFX_*.bgl) go into FSX\Addon Scenery\Scenery\ or a dedicated AFCAD folder you create.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
