AFCAD File For EGNX

East Midlands Airport EGNX gets a more accurate layout with real-world taxiway corrections, a new passenger apron for stands 40–45, and renumbered parking to match current operations. The update also refreshes the airfield environment with a taller control tower, a fire station, and stand assignments that guide aircraft to the right gates in FSX.

East Midlands Airport, UK. Corrects the taxiways according to real data. Adds the new passenger apron (stands 40 to 45) and changes teh aprons to have realistic stand numbers. By Noel Marsh-Giddings.

I have created this AFCAD to improve the default East Midlands Airport, UK (EGNX). This is an attempt to get the airport at least half realistic in the lack of any addons yet. I have added the new passenger apron (stands 40-45) and redesigned the aprons to have realistic stand numbers and taxiways according to real data. I have also changed the control tower to a more realistic looking tall tower, and added the fire station. All aircraft park on the correct stands. Finally I have removed the air bridges as East Midlands does not have them. Feel free to hack/slash this AFCAD as you see fit, but anything you do with it is at your own risk.

Installation:

  1. Just copy the BGL file into your Addon Scenery\Scenery folder.

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place AFCAD file

AFCAD files (AF2_*.bgl or AFX_*.bgl) go into FSX\Addon Scenery\Scenery\ or a dedicated AFCAD folder you create.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
