It provides a highly detailed layout of the airport grounds, located in Truckee, California (CA), where challenging terrain meets a scenic high-altitude environment near Lake Tahoe.

Enhanced Alpine Airfield Environment

Truckee-Tahoe Airport (often used by general aviation and charter traffic) sits at an elevation of roughly 5,900 feet above sea level. The mountainous surroundings demand careful approach planning, especially during inclement weather. With this add-on, runway markings and in-field details have been overhauled, enabling more precision when simulating takeoffs and landings in the high-country region.

Technically Refined Scenery Elements

The creators at Clear Sky Simulations compiled and designed the included .BGL files through Airport Design Editor. Their work leverages default FSX scenery libraries, integrating custom placements of airport structures and navigational aids. To see every 3D object, be sure your simulator’s scenery complexity settings are at least set to Normal. This level ensures proper building appearances and prevents any missing objects in the airport environment.

Installation Process

Locate the files named KTRK_CSS.BGL and KTRK_CSS_CVX.BGL and move them into your “Flight Simulator X / Addon Scenery / Scenery” folder.
Launch Microsoft Flight Simulator X to see the updated airport elements and terrain adjustments.

Simple Removal Instructions

Open your “Flight Simulator X / Addon Scenery / Scenery” directory and remove KTRK_CSS.BGL as well as KTRK_CSS_CVX.BGL.
Restart the simulator and the default scenery will automatically return.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D AFCAD file

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place AFCAD file

AFCAD files (AF2_*.bgl or AFX_*.bgl) go into FSX\Addon Scenery\Scenery\ or a dedicated AFCAD folder you create.
