FSX Canary Islands

Canary Islands scenery brings Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and the wider archipelago into sharp focus for VFR and IFR flying, with coastlines, terrain, and island features rendered in rich detail. Built for FSX, it supports immersive sightseeing and practical route planning by closely matching real-world geography across the islands.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Hi Chris

I am fairly new to FSX and I too could not always get scenery addons to work. I have since managed to get most of my addons to work after watching a video on you tube. Can you explain exactly what problem you are having. I can't guarantee I can help but I am willing to give it a go to try and help you out. It's so frustrating when you download addons and you can't get them up and running. Regards Bob

Spent 6 hours trying to jiggle with the files so they would work and they still did not. The read me is useless and despite searching for answers on numerous forums - nobody could help me.

In total over the last 6 years I have made many attempts to import scenery without ant success at all. I can assure you I am not stupid and have made numerous notes and diagrams to try and unravel the super-natural skills of scenery downloading without any success at all.

I have come to the conclusion that scenery add ons are a conspiracy and that nobody can in fact do it. Everyone is pretending they have managed to import scenery with the sole intention of trying to naff me off

The airports are satisfying, but the cities are ugly. Maspalomas area is barely recognizable and the same holds for Puerto de la Cruz and other towns.
