FSX Zippy Sport

Zippy Sport brings a nimble, single-seat high-wing taildragger to FSX, powered by a 50 hp Rotax 503 piston engine and modeled with mixed metal, wood, and fabric construction. Enjoy a detailed virtual cockpit with 3D gauges, full animations, baked textures, and two paint schemes inspired by the 1986 prototypes used for Rotax engine testing.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Zippy Sport, a single-seat, high-wing monoplane powered by a 50 hp (37 kW) Rotax 503 piston engine. Of mixed construction (metal, wood and fabric), it has a fixed tail-dragger landing gear. The aircraft is available in the form of plans for amateur construction. The two prototypes which first flew in 1986 was used as a test bed for Rotax engines. Full animations, 3D gauges and Baked Textures.

Installation instructions:

Unzip into a temporary directory, then cut and paste into your SimObjects Directory.

2 Paint schemes are included, if you would like a specific paint produced you can send me the details and I will bake them to the model.

Aircraft Operating instructions. Starting:

1. Set throttle 0% (Minimum)
2. Master Battery ON
3. Magnetos ON
4. Set Mixture Rich
5. Push Starter

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme
