Where can you download SimBrief Dispatch for MSFS 2024?

Adam McEnroe
In short

SimBrief Dispatch is not an MSFS 2024 download. Learn where to access it, import plans through the EFB and when SimBrief Downloader is useful.

You do not download SimBrief Dispatch for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Dispatch is a browser-based flight-planning service: sign in through its official web interface, create the operational flight plan, then import it through MSFS 2024’s EFB or a supported aircraft. Nothing belongs in the Community folder.

Is SimBrief Dispatch an MSFS 2024 add-on?

No. SimBrief Dispatch runs in a web browser rather than as an MSFS package, Marketplace product or Community-folder mod. Open the SimBrief website, sign in with a Navigraph account and select Dispatch to create your flight.

Flight planning is free with an account. Access to the latest navigation-data cycle is a separate subscription benefit, so free accounts may use an older AIRAC cycle.

Which SimBrief product do you need?

Most MSFS 2024 pilots need the web-based Dispatch service and the simulator’s existing integration, not another installation.

How do you use SimBrief Dispatch with MSFS 2024?

The normal workflow is to generate the plan online and retrieve it inside the simulator.

  1. Create the flight in Dispatch. Enter the departure, destination, aircraft and route, then generate the operational flight plan. Our SimBrief planning walkthrough for MSFS explains the fields and complete workflow.
  2. Generate rather than merely save. MSFS integrations normally retrieve the latest generated flight. An edited draft will not replace the previous plan until you generate it again.
  3. Import it through the MSFS 2024 EFB. Connect the required SimBrief identity and request the latest flight. Follow our step-by-step EFB import procedure for the simulator-side controls.
  4. Load it into the aircraft if necessary. Importing a plan into the EFB does not guarantee that every FMS or MCDU will populate automatically. Some aircraft have their own SimBrief request button or account setting; FlyByWire users can follow the A32NX and A380X SimBrief connection process.

Do you need SimBrief Downloader for MSFS 2024?

You do not need SimBrief Downloader for the built-in EFB workflow or an aircraft that can fetch plans directly. The similarly named Downloader is only a helper for add-ons that expect a locally exported flight-plan file in a particular folder.

If an aircraft’s documentation specifically requests an exported format, you can download that file manually from the generated flight or use SimBrief Downloader to automate it. Obtain the utility only through the official SimBrief account area; it does not install Dispatch and should not be copied into Community.

Why is the SimBrief plan not appearing?

A missing or outdated plan usually comes from the import settings rather than a failed Dispatch installation.

  • No generated OFP: generate the flight after making the final route changes.
  • Wrong account identity: check whether the integration asks for a username, account name or pilot ID and enter the matching value.
  • Aircraft not populated: use the aircraft’s own EFB, CDU or MCDU import command after loading the simulator plan.
  • AIRAC mismatch: procedures or waypoints may differ when SimBrief and the simulator use different navigation-data cycles. Select an available procedure or align the navdata used by both systems.

On Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, use Dispatch in a browser on another device and retrieve the plan through the in-simulator integration where supported. Desktop file-export utilities and Community-folder workflows apply to PC, not consoles.
