The Yak-40 in Azerbaijan colors. This flag carrier of the former Soviet Republic makes its base at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in the largest city and capital of Azerbaijan, Baku.
The Yak-40 is one of the most widely used Soviet/Russian planes although it is getting old and many airlines are replacing it with newer models. This includes Azerbaijan Airlines who as of 2012 no longer have the Yak-40 in their fleet.
This livery however is great in a historical sense because it represents one of the most recognized planes out of Russia and its former republics. Your Flight Simulator livery collection is not complete without it.
