FSX Centennial Park Airfield Scenery

Centennial Park Airfield (NZCG) brings a detailed slice of Taupo’s general aviation scene to FSX, with custom buildings, refined airport layout, and surrounding landmarks including the gliding club, horse racing track, and motorsport park. Designed for FSX SP2 and requires Vector Landclass (VLC) object libraries for best results.

New Zealand (NZCG). Welcome to Centennial Park Airfield, located in the central North Island of New Zealand, just outside the small city of Taupo. It is a small general aviation airfield, and is very popular for glider operations, being home to the Taupo Gliding Club. Beside the airfield is the Taupo Horse Racing Track, and also the Taupo Motorsport Park. By Lawrie Roache and Godfrey Tier.

This scenery was made for FSX SP2, without Acceleration, and with VECTOR LANDCLASS (VLC) (Payware) installed.

Flight1 Software, INSTANT SCENERY Object Placer, and AIRPORT FACILITATOR X (AFX), were used in the making of this scenery.

CREDITS:

GODFREY TIER for all custom buildings on the Airfield, Motorsport Track, and Horse Racetrack.

LAWRIE ROACHE for the Afcad, Flattens, Excludes, and placement of all objects in the scenery.

ROBIN CORN for the free VLC Object Libraries.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
