Are you one of those people who love flying into mountainous airports? If so, here is just the scenery for you. Steamboat X Mega Pack v2 is an accurate representation of the Yampa Vally Regional Airport in Hayden, Colorado (CO), USA and the surrounding town of Steamboat Springs. This scenery includes the Steamboat Springs Ski Resort with custom buildings and landclass as well as photoscenery around the Yampa Valley Regional Airport (KHDN), which include seasonal changes, and an accurate representation of the terminal created from scratch. To install:

  • Run the Steamboat X Mega Pack v2.exe.
  • When asked, select your "Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery" directory and install.
  • Activate the folders titled "Chairlift", "KHDN Terminal", and "Steamboat Springs Mega Pack" in your scenery library.
  • Enjoy!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Great add on but I only see the towers for the chairlift and gondola. Is this normal running FSX Steam?
