FSX Kendell Airlines SAAB 340B

Kendell Airlines’ SAAB 340B repaint for FSX recreates VH-EKN, the Ansett Australia regional turboprop that served inland routes across New South Wales and Victoria. Authentic markings and airline identity reflect the fleet’s later transition, after Ansett’s 2002 collapse, into the aircraft sold on to what became Regional Express.

The aircraft, coded VH-EKN, is a regional short connection airliner of Ansett Australia, that flies to regional inland Cities around New South Wales and Victoria. In 2002, Ansett Australia has stopped operation and when the airline went bankrupt, both Kendell and Hazelton airlines sold all of their SAAB 340 aircraft fleet to a new regional airline company today known as Regional Express (REX). How to install this mod

FSX / P3D Repaint

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Add livery to base aircraft folder

    Place the texture folder (typically texture.{airline}) inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\{base-aircraft}\.

  3. Update aircraft.cfg

    Open the base aircraft.cfg in Notepad. Add a new [fltsim.X] section per the readme.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
