This fully freeware repaint showcases a striking “Big Panda” scheme for the Antonov An-2T, inspired by photographs of an actual commemorative edition. The repaint, developed by Steve Baldwin, applies custom visuals onto Tim Conrad’s original biplane design for use in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. This add-on will only function once the essential AN2TPPP.ZIP package has been obtained from the Fly Away Simulation library, since the base aircraft model is not included here.
Visual Details and Historical Touches
The real-world An-2T—nicknamed the “Annushka”—first took flight in 1947, defying skeptics who deemed its two-wing format outdated. In reality, this single-engine biplane’s robust airframe excelled in roles ranging from agricultural spraying to passenger transport. Its proven short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities made it an ideal choice for missions in remote or rugged terrain. This “Big Panda” livery pays tribute to a special Commemorative Air Force scheme, bringing the essence of that historic organization’s dedication to preserving classic warbirds into your simulator.

description = First appearing in 1947, the AN-2's was first dismissed as obsolete, due to its biplane layout and homely looks. But the "Annushka" would prove the naysayers wrong.... and how! The biplane layout proved itself, and there wasn't much the AN-2 couldn't do, whether as a passenger, cargo, parachuting, crop spraying, or spec ops plane. Over 20,000 were produced, mostly in Poland. Not bad for an "obsolete" design.
