Grumman Goose water-handling realism improves with corrected contact points that let the hull sit deeper and bring wing floats into play sooner in FSX. Choose between two tuned configurations: a more authentic waterline or a slightly deeper stance that reduces tilt for smoother taxi and maneuvering on the surface.

Fix for water contact points. This file contains the needed information so you can change the contact points and put the Goose deeper into the water. It will make the wing floats take effect earlier. By Stefan Weiss.

I have included two variants from which you can choose.

Variant 1 is, I think, is the most realistic; it's the closest to how the Goose sits in the water in reality.
Variant 2 puts the plane a little deeper into the water, thus minimizing the tilting. This makes maneuvering in the water smoother but might be less realistic.

FSX / P3D add-on

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
