FSX Airport Baggage Cart Fix

Airport baggage carts sit correctly on the apron with updated ground contact points for the blue and flat-nose grey variants, eliminating the familiar “sinking” effect during ramp operations. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, the fix replaces the vehicles’ sim.cfg settings to restore proper wheel height and more realistic airport ground handling.

This fixes the two variants of airport baggage carts which sink into the ground. By Stefan Weiss.

Backup the sim.cfg-files found in these folders:

..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\GroundVehicles\VEH_air_bagcart_blue_sm

..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\GroundVehicles\VEH_air_bagcart_FlatNose_Grey_sm

Copy the correspondent sim.cfg-files found in this zip-file into the the appropriate folders.

What I did:

  • I changed the contact points for those 2 vehicles.
  • The original ones were obviously off and made the vehicles sink into the ground (about 1 or 2 feet).

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
