FSX Improved Strobe Effect

Improved strobe light effects give aircraft a more realistic flash profile with a five-reflector look, enhancing night operations and ramp presence. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, the package includes blue and white strobe texture variations that replace default effect bitmaps for cleaner, more defined pulses across a wide range of models.

Files Included:

fx_2B.bmp B = Blue Strobe
fx_2W.bmp W = White Strobe

Make sure to back-up original before replacing.

Choose anyone that you want and extract it to a temporary folder. Choose the one that you like and remove the W/B after the number 2 and copy it. to.........\Flight Simulator X\Effects\texture. Overwrite when prompted.

FSX / P3D add-on

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
