FS2004 AFCAD2 File For LEIB

This freeware modification by Oscar Caravaca refines the default layout of Ibiza Airport (LEIB) in Spain for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. It incorporates revised gate assignments, thorough parking allocations, and repositioned lighting systems to match the latest AENA aeronautical charts.

Enhanced Ground Arrangement for Ibiza

The included AFCAD2 configuration carefully adjusts taxiways, runways, and ramp positions to mirror real-world traffic flows. Ibiza Airport, located on the island of Ibiza in the Balearic archipelago, experiences heavy summer tourism loads, and this update focuses on optimizing ground movements under higher traffic conditions. It also fine-tunes the approach lights and PAPI alignments to enhance realism for both arrivals and departures.

Gate Positions and Parking Spots

All gates have been arranged to accommodate typical airline operations while offering an authentic sense of traffic density. Wide-body stands and smaller regional slots are included, ensuring seamless ground handling for both scheduled carriers and charter flights, especially prevalent during peak travel season.

Installation Process

1. Extract the AF2_LEIB.bgl file.
2. Place the extracted file into your [FSMain Main Folder]\Addon Scenery\Scenery directory.
3. Restart your simulator if it was running, so the updated airport configuration is recognized.

These steps ensure immediate integration of the new AFCAD2 data. Once loaded, taxiway lines, runway markings, and the stand assignments become instantly available.

Reference Charts and Additional Notes

The file was developed based on the most recent publicly available charts from AENA (Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea). Pilots can consult those charts in PDFs for a quick reference to ground routing and radio frequencies. Because the update closely follows real-world specifications, it provides a practical training environment for simulator pilots looking for realistic immersion.
