Qantas Boeing 777-200LR repaint captures the carrier’s updated default scheme, featuring the revised kangaroo tail marking and “Spirit of Australia” titling for a convincing long-haul look in FSX. Built for the PMDG 777-200LR payware model, it installs as a PTP package and requires the PMDG Operations Center.

Qantas Boeing 777-200LR with updated readme.txt file. This repaint is for the payware B777-200 LR by PMDG. It depicts Qantas' latest default color scheme with the new kangaroo on the fin which has its leg forward of the horizontal stabilizer and 'Spirit of Australia' located aft the of the Qantas logo. Livery is packaged as a PMDG ptp and requires the PMDG Operation Center to install it. By Michael J. Pottier.

Installation:

  • Unzip PMDG777_QF_QZA.zip to a temporary folder on your desktop.
  • Open PMDG Operations Center, select the 777 from the main dropdown menu, select the Livery Manager module, then the PMDG 777-200LR from the dropdown menu. You'll see a list of all active liveries appear on the left side.
  • Click the green 'Click to Add' button on the right side and navigate to the temporary folder on your desktop, select the 777LR_Qantas_QZA.ptp file and click open.
  • That's it, enjoy!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
