FSX Vought F8 Crusader Update

Vought F-8 Crusader pilots can now launch and recover from carrier decks with proper catapult assistance, thanks to updated aircraft.cfg launch bar pivot and lug geometry for FSX. The config refresh is intended for the Alphasim F-8 Crusader as modified by Bob Chicilo and requires that base package.

This is an update of the Alphasim F-8 Crusader originally modified by Bob Chicilo (F8CRUSADERUPFSX.ZIP). This config file adds the launch assistance - launch bar pivot and launch bar lug positions - to the aircraft.cfg file in order to allow the aircraft to land and launch from equipped aircraft carriers. Just copy the file to your ALPHA F8 Crusader - modified by Bob Chicilo- and overwrite when requested. By Anthony Eades.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
