FSX Update For The Alphasim F-105 Thunderchief

Alphasim’s Republic F-105 Thunderchief receives an FSX Acceleration refresh with a rebuilt virtual cockpit, updated 2D panel, and tuned smoke effects for a smoother, more immersive Thud experience. The package includes the complete aircraft and revised configuration, and requires the referenced gauge and panel files when needed.

This is an FSX Acceleration update for the Alphasim Republic F105 Thunderchief. It features a new VC and 2D panel, compatible for FSX as well as compatible smoke effects. This is the whole aircraft. New configuration by Michael Pook. (See also FSX_F105_PANEL_UDATE.ZIP and THUNDERCHIEF_GAUGES.ZIP for missing gauges).

Installation:

  • Copy the Alpha F-105 Thunderchief folder into your FSX/ Simobjects/ aircraft folder.
  • Copy the effects in the effects folder into your main FSX effects folder and the gauges in the gauges folder into your main FSX gauges folder.
  • That's it, your all done.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Despite several downloads of the main aircraft file and additional gauges, the panel still appears incomplete.
