Installation:

  • Copy the texture folders across into your respective IRIS/666 F-16D aircraft folders. In the included .txt for each aircraft type, copy and paste the "[flightsim.xx]" sections into the aircraft.cfg file for the respective repaints, obviously changing the "xx" bit to the next sequential number.
  • For example - Take the texture.UAE folder from the included folder "IRIS F-16D Fighting Falcon CL" and copy-paste it into the folder of the same name in your FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes folder.
  • Open the "add to aircraft.cfg" text file and copy-paste everything in there across to the "aircraft.cfg" file within the same folder that you just pasted the texture.UAE folder into.
  • Replace the "[flightsim.xx]" with the next number in sequence (eg [flightsim.8]) and save the aircraft.cfg.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
