Experience the BAe Jetstream 4100 in Austrian Arrows colors with this freeware livery expertly crafted by Sebastian Szücs. This repaint exclusively supports the PMDG Jetstream 4100 model (a separate payware product), ensuring realistic regional operations within Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Its vivid exterior reflects Austrian Arrows’ former brand, operating under Tyrolean Airlines, and offers an immersive portrayal of the airline’s characteristic look.

Aircraft and Livery Highlights

The BAe Jetstream 4100 (sometimes known as the Jetstream 41) is a twin-engine turboprop designed for short-haul routes. Austrian Arrows, once a subsidiary brand of Austrian Airlines, was recognized for covering essential regional networks across Europe. This repaint integrates the authentic markings you’d expect, including the airline name, flight number identifiers, and accurate color combinations that match the original livery.

Key Technical Details

  • Payware Requirement: PMDG’s Jetstream 4100 model is mandatory for this repaint to function. You can purchase it from a retailer such as SimShack.
  • High-Definition Textures: The custom artwork provides a precise and detailed finish, replicating real-world Tyrolean/Austrian Arrows schemes.
  • Full Compatibility: Tailored for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, preserving cockpit configurations, engine dynamics, and handling features unique to the PMDG version.

Additional Notes

This package includes textures alone and does not contain the PMDG base model. To enjoy its complete potential, ensure you have the payware Jetstream 4100 installed. The precise design elements replicate real-life color placement for Austrian Arrows, which was known as the regional label of Austrian Airlines before it was rebranded—a detail that adds immersion for those who appreciate authentic airline operations in smaller turboprop aircraft.

Special thanks to Sebastian Szücs for creating and releasing this amazing freeware repaint.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D livery / repaint
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Add livery to base aircraft folder

Place the texture folder (typically texture.{airline}) inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\{base-aircraft}\.
  3. Update aircraft.cfg

Open the base aircraft.cfg in Notepad. Add a new [fltsim.X] section per the readme.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
