FSX QE2 UK Scenery

UK QE2. The Queen Elizabeth 2 was the flagship of the Cunard Line for over 30 years. QE2 made her maiden voyage in 1969 and is one of the last great Transatlantic liners as well as one of the largest and fastest passenger vessels afloat. This model is presented in a static (docked at Southampton UK) version and moving (from Southampton to Naples) version. Generation X VFR Photographic Scenery Vol. 1 recommended. By Simon Swallow.

Installation:

Move the "QE2 Static" directory to your Addon scenery folder. Install scenery in the normal way. (eg Run FSX - Settings - scenery library - ADD area).

For a moving QE2 (from Southampton(UK) to Naples(Italy) move the "Ai_QE2" folder into the SimObject/Boats directory. Also move the trafficBoatsQE2.bgl to the ..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery folder.

If you move the inclued flight file (QE2 moving along the solent.flt) in to :\Documents and Settings\*user*\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files folder you can load up the flight and see the QE2 moving down the Solent.

All models were created using GMAX. I believe this model is fairly frame rate friendly as I've used a number of LOD levels and the minimum number of texture files in there creation. This scenery has be designed to fit with the Generation X Photographic Scenery for the area. All the models are impressions of the real structures they portray as I rarely managed to get accurate dimensions during their construction.

This scenery add-on is made available for the private use of Microsoft Flight Simulator enthusiasts. Under no circumstances may this zip file be modified or sold for profit. The use of this scenery is at your own risk, the author can not be held responsible.
