FSX EGPF Glasgow UK Scenery

EGPF Glasgow UK. Slight expansion of base scenery for Glasgow Airport. Runway 05/23 extended by 500 feet, rapid exit taxiway added from runway 05. 10/28 closed. Improvements to taxiways and added detail around airfield. River prior to 23 threshold is placed as in real life. Fictional expansion but basic airport layout is unchanged. Custom runway touchdown markings require FSX Runway Numbers And Markings freeware add-on by Lance Tucker (RWY_MARK.ZIP). By John Ball.

Scenery - EGPF Glasgow UK (GLA).

For use with base FSX scenery ie not tested with any add-ons.

An enhancement of the basic FSX representation of Glasgow Airport.

The Scenery is extremely basic in the FSX version. This is a reasonably accurate scenery, with added details around the airfield and custom marked runway touchdown zones, as well as an extension of 500 feet at the rwy 05 end and rapid exit taxiway from that rwy. Rwy 10/28 closed as in real life.

(FSX Runway Numbers And Markings freeware add-on by Lance Tucker required for full realism but not essential if you can't or don't want to download it) (file name rwy_mark.zip, or search for FSX Runway Numbers And Markings)

The rwy 05/23 TDZs have hand-placed markings - these are contained in the Lance Tucker object library above. If you do not install these objects the scenery will work fine albeit without TDZ markings on the runway. Rwy 05 TDZ = 500ft bar, 1000ft bar, 1500ft UK Brackets, 2000 2500 3000 feet bars. Rwy 23 TDZ = 500ft bar, 1200ft UK brackets, 1500 2000 2500 3000 feet bars. PAPI located beside brackets.

Added buildings, perimeter roads, navaids and static objects. This is a fictional enhancement, not intended to be 100% accurate, but respects the original airfield layout and surrounds.

INSTALLATION:

1) Paste all EGPF_ADEX files (4 in total) into your main FSX \Addon Scenery \Scenery folder.

2) You should also download and install file - rwy_mark.zip. Follow installation instructions included. A small file and easy to install.

Run FSX and go to airport EGPF - UK, Glasgow.

This works fine with my system. I don't see any reason why it should not work for you if installed as above. Hope it works fine and you enjoy the scenery.
