FSX Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (KAVP) for FSX refreshes the default field with reworked aprons and taxiways, a new terminal with jetways, a relocated control tower, plus a parking garage, hangars, support buildings, and vehicle-filled lots. Built with stock objects, it requires no additional scenery libraries.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (KAVP), Pennsylvania (PA). An improved version with adjusted aprons and taxiways, new terminal with jetways, moved control tower, added parking garage, hangars, buildings and parking lot. By Jim Cook.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International.

Here is an improved version of the stock Scranton - Wilkes Barre Intl. Airport. I added and adjusted aprons and taxiways to match new contruction at the airport. I added a new terminal with jetways, moved the control tower, added the parking garage, hangars, smaller buildings and a parking lot with vehicles.

I've never been to the airport in real life, but have driven past it many times on I-81. It sits on higher terrain, above the Interstate.

I use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files KAVP_AFX_JC.bgl and KAVP_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
