Plattsburgh International Airport (KPBG) scenery refreshes the New York gateway with replaced default buildings, a detailed terminal, tower and fire station, plus parking lots, lightpoles, static vehicles and aircraft, and airline-assigned gates. Built from stock objects for FSX, it brings a more accurate former AFB layout beside Lake Champlain.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Plattsburgh International Airport (KPBG), New York (NY). An improved version with most default buildings replaced, added fire station, tower, parking, static vehicles and more. By Jim Cook.

Plattsburgh International Scenery.

Here is an improved version of the stock Plattsburgh International Airport (formerly Plattsburgh AFB). Most default buildings were replaced and other buildings added. I added the fire station, terminal, tower, parking lots, static vehicles, aircraft, lightpoles, etc.

I assigned gates to Direct Air, Allegiant Air, and Cape Air which all fly out of Plattsburgh. Being a former AFB, Plattsburgh has a huge runway and plenty of apron space. It's located on Lake Champlain which separates New York and Vermont.

I use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files KPBG_AFX_JC.bgl and KPBG_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
