FSX Nepal Deluxe Scenery & Flights/Missions

This package brings additional scenery, missions, and flights to the Nepal area of FSX. The package includes both parts, parts 1 and 2.

The filenames of the individual parts were:

1. nepaldel-1.zip
2. nepal02.zip

Draped along the greatest heights of the Himalayas, Nepal is where the ice-cold of the mountains meets the steamy heat of the Indian plains. It's a land of yaks and yetis, stupas and Sherpas and some of the best flying in your sim.

The Himalaya's most sophisticated urban cultures took shape here, in the three great mini kingdoms of the Kathmandu Valley - Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur.

In 1950 a Dakota aircraft (DC3) of Indian registration commenced the first-ever scheduled service on 20th February, linking Kathmandu to Patna, Calcutta, and Delhi.

From then on aviation has grown and many airfields cover this mountainous landlocked country.

Four parts will cover this country starting with the present one which gives the sim pilot: new AFCADs for all airports in FSX, new airfields not available in FSX in rugged mountains, lakes and rivers, new objects at airports, airfields and in various parts of the country, many flights "ready to go" under all kinds of weather including a number of very "special" flights for the very experienced bush pilot, helicopter activities (very dangerous!), communication with G-Map and weeks of flights in the most rugged mountains in the world.

Four Parts will cover this country starting with the present one which gives the sim pilot:

Part 2 (Included)

This is part II of Nepal DeLuxe Scenery and Flights. We move to the center of Nepal and cover 11 airports with new AFCADs, original buildings, and other objects.

You will find better lights at airports thanks to the lights package made by Jim Dhaenens. Also, static airplanes made by Guy Diotte.

Try flights at dusk and night for added adventure and very nice views of lighted towns and airports. Includes more very dangerous extra airfields or landing locations for aircraft and helicopters, two complete flight plans for regular commercial flights, new airport buildings, towns and other objects, complete flight routes maps which you can use together with FSX's map screen, new landclass in cities and towns, several adventure flights for helicopters and STOL aircraft. Welcome to the second part of the Series. On this part, you will again get all the features of part one in order to have a lot of fun flying in this dangerous region.

I recommend you also Download " Plan-G” which uses the acclaimed and versatile Google Maps mapping tool. Any geographical feature which exists in Google Maps can be included in your flight plans, and all the features of Google Maps are fully available.

Overlaid on the Google Map are the necessary navigation features extracted from FS - controlled airspace, airports, navaids, VRPs, etc., with automatic switching at lower zoom levels to avoid clutter. Use it with all flights of Nepal DeLuxe for a great simmin' experience.

FLIGHTS ENCLOSED:

Start any of the Flights OR Flight Plans available and follow the Routes Given On the Map or GPS for Flight Plans. Or simply go to the airport you want from the enclosed maps and fly.

The Initial Flight From Bhopal, India to - should be the start flight into Nepal.

Two additional FLIGHT PLANS are enclosed: BAHURA TO POKHARA…AND NEPALGUNJ TO POKHARA…..BOTH WITH MANY STOPS--SEE MAPS ENCLOSED.

Notes on Part II

• You will find better LIGHTS at airports thanks to the wonderful “Lights Package” made by Jim Dhaenens. Also “static planes” made by the talented Guy Diotte…
• I recommend you make flights at DUSK and NIGHT for added adventure and very nice views of lighted towns and airports.
• More “Very Dangerous” extra “airfields or landing locations for aircraft and Helicopters. ( For Experienced Pilots)
• Two complete Flight Plans for the regular commercial flights.
• New Airport Buildings, towns and other objects.
• Complete Flight Routes Maps which you can use together with FSX´s Map Screen.
• New Land Class in Cities and Towns

Installation

1. Make a Directory called "Nepal DeLuxe" and make two sub-directories called "SCENERY" and "TEXTURE".
2. Unzip the files to a Temporal Directory.
3. Place all .BGL and CL files in the "SCENERY" subdirectory just created.
4. Place all .BMP files in the "TEXTURE" subdirectory just created.
5. Place all .PL files, FTL, FSSAVE, and WX files found inside the enclosed “FLIGHTPLANS” Directory in your--- C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files.
6. Place the finished "Nepal DeLuxe" Directory in FSX/Addon Scenery Directory. Now go to FSX and jump to the Menu and ADD the Directory to the list Scenery.
7. Print all .JPG MAPS.

You are now ready to start your flights.

Option One: Load the “VFR Pithoragarh to Sanfebagar.PLN” flight which will take you to Pithoragarh, India where you can start the Commercial Flight which can be seen in your GPS. Start here your introduction to Nepal DeLuxe.

Option Two: Start any of the following Flights available to you and follow the Routes Given on its Map. Or simply go to the airport you want from the enclosed maps and fly.
