FSX / P3D scenery

FSX Doha Qatar Scenery

Doha, Qatar gets a 2011-era makeover for FSX with updated coastline detail, new landclass and road placement, and urban textures for a more believable cityscape. It removes the old OTBD layout, adds a preliminary AFCAD for the then-new airport, and includes an accurate AFCAD for military airbase OTBH.

Scenery Doha Qatar as it will look in 2011. The old OTBD airport has been removed and a preliminary AFCAD put in place for the new airport. It is scheduled to open in July 2011. There are no airport buildings as yet. Gate numbers are not actual and taxiway designations have been left out until further information is available. An accurate AFCAD has been added for the military airbase OTBH. Also included is a revamped coastline with much more detail than the default, new landclass files with accurate roads according to Google and generic textures used to show urban areas. These files are for Doha, Qatar as it will look in 2011.

These files are FSX and don't work with FS9, as far as I know.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
