FSX Republic Farmingdale Airport Scenery

Republic Airport (KFRG) brings Farmingdale’s busy Long Island reliever field to life in FSX with crisp photoreal ground textures, accurately laid taxiways and aprons, and custom buildings and hangars. Seasonal snow, carefully placed autogen, and numerous static aircraft add depth and a convincing general aviation ramp atmosphere.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Republic Farmingdale Airport (KFRG), NY. Located in the heart of Long Island's vibrant Nassau/Suffolk bi-county area, about 30 miles east of New York City. Republic Airport is mainly for general aviation, designated as a reliever airport. There are two main charter companies, Atlantic Aviation and SheltAir Aviation, along with ten flight schools. Republic airport includes phototexture, with accurately depicted taxiways and aprons, including the buildings and hangars. Snow texture have been added during the winter months. Autogen placed in specific areas and numerous static aircraft on airfield, overall, filled with details. By Eric McCloud.

Installation is quite simple. When you unzip the download you will find three folders:
1) Republic Farmingdale - KFRG
2) Scenery
3) Texture
Place the Republic Farmingdale - KFRG folder into your main Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Addon scenery folder and activate the scenery within FSX library, like anyother addon. FSX and windows 7 does have an issue with this sometimes, so if you cant install it from inside FSX, then download and install the freeware Program called Addit! Pro for Flight Simulator X, works like a charm. Just search it on the internet.

THEN,

Take the files in the scenery folder (1 File) and copy them to your addon scenery/scenery folder.....not the scenery folder within the Republic Farmingdale - KFRG folder.....then take the files in the texture folder (4 Files) and copy them to your addon scenery/texture folder.....not the texture folder within the Republic Farmingdale - KFRG folder (if you do not copy these files correctly, the animated flag will look REAL BIG and positioned improperly on the ground).

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
