FSX Plymouth UK Fictional Expansion Scenery

Plymouth Airport EGHD gets a fictional expansion for FSX, extending runway 13/31 to 5,000 feet with displaced thresholds, higher road clearance on runway 13 approach, and ILS at both ends. Runway 06/24 is closed and repurposed as the main taxiway feeding an enlarged apron; requires Lance Tucker’s RWY_MARK.ZIP for touchdown zone markings.

A single runway with approach lighting and painted markings is surrounded by grassy fields, small buildings, and distant rolling hills.

A simplified airport layout diagram shows a single long runway, multiple taxiways, and various terminal and apron structures in different colors.

Plymouth UK Fictional Expansion Plymouth Airport EGHD for FSX only. Runway 13 end has been moved slightly east to povide higher clearance over the road on approach. ILS both runway ends. Runway 06/24 closed as in real life. This is now the main taxiway intersecting the expanded apron. Runway markings (RWY_MARK.ZIP) by Lance Tucker is a required add-on to display runway touchdown markings. Easy to install, but if you choose not to there will just be no touchdown zone markings on runway. Scenery will work fine regardless. By Junior Moult.

Runway 13/31 extended to 5000 feet (1725m). Threshold displaced both ends by 500 feet (152m).

INSTALLATION

Copy and paste all 5 EGHD named files in the download to the following folder:

Microsoft Flight Simulator X (Or whatever you have renamed the root FSX directory as)

ie into the SCENERY directory inside the addon scenery folder in your main FSX folder. Start FSX and go to EGHD, Plymouth, UK.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
