Do I need the FlyByWire A380X first?
Yes, an A380X livery only supplies replacement textures and configuration data; it does not provide the flyable aircraft. Install and run the base aircraft before adding its repaints.
If it is missing, use our FlyByWire A380X base-aircraft package. Keep the aircraft updated because an old base package can stop newer liveries from loading correctly.
How do I install an A380X livery in MSFS 2024?
On PC, extract the livery and place its package folder in the active MSFS 2024 Community folder. The installation location varies with the edition and any custom package path, so make sure you are not using the separate MSFS 2020 folder.
- Install the base aircraft. Confirm that the A380X itself appears and loads before adding liveries.
- Extract the download. Do not copy the ZIP or RAR archive directly into
Community. - Check the folder structure. A normal MSFS package folder contains files such as
manifest.jsonandlayout.json. Remove any unnecessary outer wrapper folder. - Copy the package. Place the actual livery package folder in the active MSFS 2024

Why is my A380 livery not appearing?
A missing A380 livery is usually caused by the wrong aircraft variant, a nested folder or installation into the wrong Community directory.
- Wrong base model: confirm that the file explicitly names the FlyByWire A380X rather than another A380.
- Nested package: open the extracted folders until you find the one containing the package files, then move that folder into
Community. - Wrong simulator folder: MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 can have separate Community locations on the same PC.
- Duplicate package: remove older copies of the same repaint so two versions are not competing.
- Outdated aircraft: update or reinstall the A380X, launch it once, and then restore the livery.
Clearing the scenery rolling cache is not a normal fix for a missing aircraft repaint. Correct the package, aircraft and Community-folder match first.
Can Xbox and PS5 install downloaded A380 liveries?
No. Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PS5 Pro do not expose a PC-style Community folder, so downloaded ZIP packages cannot be copied to those consoles. Console players must use A380 liveries distributed through supported in-simulator content channels; files from our download library are intended for PC installation.
