Start by searching our Microsoft Flight Simulator add-on library for “787” or the airline name you want. The library covers both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, so read each file description rather than relying on the search result alone.
Two available repaint packages illustrate the choices:
- United Airlines: You can download the United new-colours repaint for the default 787-10. Check the listing and included documentation for explicit MSFS 2024 compatibility before installing it.
- VARIG fictional scheme: This alternative VARIG repaint for the 787 is another downloadable option. Confirm that its aircraft model and simulator generation match your installation.
A repaint contains textures and configuration data, not the flyable aircraft. You must already have its required Boeing 787 package installed and available in your edition of the simulator.
Which Boeing 787 does the livery fit?
The model and package named by the author determine compatibility, not the word “Dreamliner” by itself. Different 787 variants and developers can use different geometry, texture mapping and internal package names.

How do I install a 787 livery in MSFS 2024?
On PC, extract the downloaded archive and place the actual package folder in the active MSFS 2024 Community folder.
- Extract the archive: Do not copy the ZIP or RAR file directly into
Community. - Find the package root: Avoid an extra nested folder. Files such as
manifest.jsonandlayout.jsonshould sit inside the package folder the simulator reads. - Copy and restart: Move that package folder into the active MSFS 2024

Why is my Boeing 787 livery not showing?
A missing repaint usually means the simulator cannot identify the package or it belongs to a different aircraft.
- Wrong 787 variant: A 787-9 repaint will not normally appear under the 787-10.
- Wrong base package: Liveries made for one developer’s Dreamliner are not interchangeable with another developer’s version.
- Nested folder: Move the actual package root up one level if extraction created duplicate folder layers.
- Missing aircraft: Install or enable the required base 787; the livery does not supply it.
- MSFS 2020 package: If it remains invisible or displays broken textures in MSFS 2024, remove it and obtain a version whose author confirms 2024 support.
Can Xbox and PS5 install downloaded 787 liveries?
No. Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro cannot install third-party livery archives into a Community folder.
