Which Train Sim World routes have drivable Eurostar trains?

Ian Stephens
In short

Eurostar trains in Train Sim World are not officially drivable. See which HS1 route comes closest and why repaints do not add genuine Eurostar stock.

No. Train Sim World does not include an officially licensed, drivable Eurostar e300 or e320, and no route add-on provides playable Eurostar services. Southeastern Highspeed covers part of the British HS1 corridor from London St Pancras, but its playable high-speed train is Southeastern’s Class 395 Javelin, not Eurostar.

Which Train Sim World route is closest to Eurostar?

Southeastern Highspeed is the closest match because it recreates HS1 out of London St Pancras. The original route turns off near Ebbsfleet towards Faversham, while the expanded package continues along HS1 to Ashford International. Neither version reaches the Channel Tunnel or includes a Eurostar train.

The Eurostar e300 is the Class 373, while the e320 is the Class 374. Neither train is supplied with these routes. Our explanation of how Train Sim World routes and locomotive add-ons are packaged can help when comparing editions and ownership-dependent content.

Why can’t I select Eurostar at St Pancras?

Eurostar is not selectable because sharing real railway infrastructure does not automatically add every operator using that line. Train Sim World assigns specific rolling stock, services and layers to each route’s authored timetable; it does not populate HS1 with all its real-world traffic.

St Pancras or Ashford appearing on the route map therefore does not prove that Eurostar is included. The product description would need to name Eurostar and either the Class 373/e300 or Class 374/e320 explicitly. If it lists only the Class 395, Javelin or Southeastern services, it is not a Eurostar add-on. Our guide to route timetables and service layers explains why owned trains do not become available globally.

Can a repaint or Free Roam make Eurostar drivable?

A repaint can imitate Eurostar colours, but it cannot turn another train into an authentic e300 or e320.

  • Livery Designer: A Eurostar-style repaint retains the original train’s body, cab, formation, sounds, physics and safety systems. An ICE 3 repaint, for example, remains an ICE 3 underneath.
  • Free Roam: You may be able to place other owned high-speed stock on HS1, but that does not create Eurostar timetable services. Electrical supply and signalling compatibility can also prevent substituted stock from operating normally.
  • Community modifications: Texture replacements or asset substitutions may provide a visual approximation on PC, but they are not official Eurostar rolling stock and may stop working after simulator updates.
  • Train Simulator Classic content: Videos or downloads may concern Train Simulator Classic rather than Train Sim World. Add-ons for the two simulators are not interchangeable.

What offers the closest Eurostar-style experience?

Choose Southeastern Highspeed for British HS1 running and the Class 395 Javelin. Choose LGV Méditerranée if the priority is driving a French high-speed train; our guide to drivable TGV routes in Train Sim World covers that alternative.

The common purchasing mistake is assuming that a route over Eurostar tracks must include Eurostar. Check the listed locomotives and timetable services before buying: no route or layer adds a genuine drivable Eurostar unless the product explicitly identifies the e300, e320, Class 373 or Class 374.
