Yes. In Train Sim World, the official drivable TGV is the SNCF TGV Duplex supplied with LGV Méditerranée: Marseille–Avignon. That French route is its only native scheduled home, running from Marseille Saint-Charles via Aix-en-Provence TGV to Avignon TGV; other routes do not gain regular TGV services simply because you own it.
Which Train Sim World route includes the TGV?
LGV Méditerranée: Marseille–Avignon is the Train Sim World route built around TGV operation. Its roughly 90-kilometre corridor combines the slower conventional approach to Marseille with dedicated high-speed running at up to 320 km/h where permitted.

Is the TGV included with the Train Sim World base game?
No. The TGV is tied to the LGV Méditerranée route add-on unless that route was explicitly included in the edition or bundle you obtained. Search your game library by the route name rather than expecting a separate TGV locomotive package.
If you bought the route for an earlier compatible Train Sim World release, check the add-on manager or platform library using the same account and store ecosystem. Content ownership does not normally transfer between unrelated platforms or storefronts, so a purchase on one system will not automatically appear on another.
Can you drive the TGV on other routes?
You can experiment with the TGV away from LGV Méditerranée in Train Sim World releases that support Free Roam, but this does not create authentic scheduled services. Our Free Roam placement and path-setting guide explains how to spawn owned rolling stock and give it a route.
The TGV Duplex supports French 1.5 kV DC and 25 kV AC operation, but an apparently suitable electrified route is not guaranteed to work correctly. The simulated power supply, train spawning, signalling and safety systems must cooperate. Outside its home route, TVM cab signalling may be absent, platforms may be too short, and the timetable will not contain TGV stopping instructions.

Why is my TGV missing from Train Sim World?
A missing TGV usually means the LGV route is not installed, the wrong platform account is active, or the player is looking inside another route's timetable.
- Confirm ownership: look for LGV Méditerranée: Marseille–Avignon in your platform library or add-on manager.
- Install the whole route: the TGV comes with the route rather than as an independent locomotive download.
- Use the matching account: DLC entitlements remain tied to the platform and storefront where they were obtained.
- Open the LGV route: select its timetable or scenarios before choosing the TGV Duplex.
- Check content filters: some Train Sim World menus hide uninstalled or incompatible add-ons.
A mistake we see often is selecting a British or German route and assuming every owned electric train should appear there. Native timetable menus show only stock assigned to that route; use Free Roam when you deliberately want a non-standard combination.
What is the TGV like to drive?
The TGV Duplex provides a distinctly different challenge from conventional passenger trains because high-speed driving depends heavily on cab indications. On the LGV section, drivers must follow TVM speed commands, anticipate restrictive targets and manage transitions between the conventional railway and high-speed infrastructure.
Simply applying full power and waiting for trackside signs will lead to overspeeding. Learn the power-system controls, watch the permitted and target speeds in the cab, and begin reducing speed before the restriction rather than at it. LGV Méditerranée is the only route that presents those systems in their intended TGV operating context.
