Install Aerosoft ONE using the official desktop installer, sign in with the Aerosoft account that owns your products, confirm the detected simulator paths, then select a compatible product in your library and choose Install. ONE handles supported downloads, updates and removal; it does not manage every third-party or Marketplace add-on.
Aerosoft ONE is a licence-aware desktop installer for supported Aerosoft catalogue products across simulators such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane and Prepar3D. Its main advantage is that it keeps the download, installed version and simulator target together rather than leaving you to manage package files manually.
How do I install Aerosoft ONE?
Aerosoft ONE should be installed from Aerosoft’s official desktop package and configured against the simulator installation already present on the computer.
- Close the simulator and related utilities. This prevents ONE from encountering package files that are locked or in use.
- Download the official installer. Select the build offered for your operating system and avoid repackaged copies from unrelated download sources.
- Run the installer and open ONE. Allow the client to complete any self-update before configuring products.
- Sign in with the correct Aerosoft account. Purchases attached to a different email address or account will not appear automatically.
- Check simulator detection. Confirm that ONE has found the exact simulator and edition you intend to use. If detection fails, launch the simulator once, close it, and then specify the requested installation or package location manually.
- Review the storage location. If ONE offers a separate library or download location, choose a drive with enough room for both the downloaded archive and installed product. Do not move that folder later in File Explorer or Finder without using a move function provided by the client.
Store, Steam and custom Microsoft Flight Simulator installations can place packages in different locations, so copying a path from somebody else’s computer is unreliable. Point ONE to the location requested by the client, not merely a folder called Community or a similarly named backup.
How do I install add-ons through Aerosoft ONE?
A supported add-on can be installed by attaching its licence to the account, selecting the correct simulator version and letting ONE place or link the package into the required location.
- Open your product library. Eligible purchases tied to the signed-in account should appear automatically. For a separate activation key, use the client’s product-activation option if that title supports ONE.
- Read the compatibility entry. Confirm the simulator and generation: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, X-Plane 11 and 12, and different Prepar3D generations are not automatically interchangeable.
- Select the intended simulator installation. This matters when two versions of the same simulator are installed or when a test installation sits beside the main one.
- Start the installation. Keep the simulator closed, allow any listed dependencies to install and wait until ONE reports completion before starting the simulator.
- Verify the result. Check that ONE lists the product as installed, then load the relevant aircraft, airport or utility in the simulator.
Do not install a second manual copy over the ONE-managed copy. Duplicate airport packages can produce conflicting scenery, while duplicate aircraft packages can leave the aircraft hidden, partly functional or loaded with files from two versions.
How should updates and uninstallations be handled?
Update, repair and remove a ONE-managed product through Aerosoft ONE rather than deleting its files manually.
- Close the simulator before applying an update or repair.
- Back up any files you edited inside the managed package because an update can replace them.
- Use the client’s uninstall command so its installation record remains consistent.
- If moving the library to another drive, use a built-in move option when available; otherwise uninstall, change the target and reinstall.
What add-ons can Aerosoft ONE manage?
Aerosoft ONE manages only products that explicitly support the client and whose licences are available to the signed-in account.

ONE is not a universal scanner for arbitrary mods already sitting in a simulator folder. The desktop client cannot write add-ons into Xbox or PlayStation installations. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 content on PS5 and PS5 Pro must therefore be managed through the simulator and platform; Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 has no PlayStation edition.
Why is Aerosoft ONE not showing my product or simulator?
A missing product or simulator usually indicates the wrong account, an unsupported licence, incorrect simulator detection or a package installed for another simulator version.
- The library is empty: confirm the account used for the original purchase, redeem an eligible key if necessary and check whether the older product actually supports ONE.
- The simulator is not detected: start it once so its configuration files are created, close it, then verify the custom installation or package path in ONE.

- An update repeatedly fails: verify free space in both the download library and final target, close software using the files and inspect any security warning for the specific blocked path rather than disabling protection indiscriminately.
- The product went to the wrong drive or simulator: uninstall it through ONE, correct the selected target and reinstall instead of dragging the managed folder manually.
A mistake we see constantly is assuming that ownership alone guarantees compatibility with every simulator generation. The product entry must explicitly name the simulator version being used; a similarly named aircraft or airport package is not proof that it can be installed there.
