A yellow centreline continuing through an intersection or towards a runway is only guidance. It does not cancel a red sign, holding-position marking, stop bar or ATC instruction.

Taxilane and movement-area boundary pavement markings are yellow. A taxilane—sometimes written taxi-lane—is an apron route providing access to stands or parking areas, and its centreline is normally a continuous yellow line.

In US practice, a movement-area boundary uses one solid and one dashed yellow line.
