Use the A320neo V2 EFB in MSFS 2020 for flight plans, fuel, payload, ground services and take-off data, with fixes for common failures.
The A320neo V2 EFB in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 controls flight-plan briefing, fuel and payload, ground services, take-off calculations and aircraft options. Power the tablet, configure its units and optional account details, import or enter the flight data, then explicitly load or apply it. The EFB does not replace the MCDU.
Make sure you have loaded the A320neo V2
The A320neo V2 is the official iniBuilds-developed aircraft and appears as a separate aircraft from the original A320neo. Select the entry explicitly marked A320neo V2; otherwise, the tablet and procedures described here will not match your cockpit.

How do I set up and use the A320neo V2 EFB?
- Power the tablet: press its bezel power control and allow the system to start. If it stays black during a cold-and-dark start, switch on the aircraft batteries and establish external or APU electrical power. Our cold-and-dark power-up procedure covers the wider cockpit sequence.
- Set units first: open the EFB settings and choose kilograms or pounds before entering a payload. A unit mismatch is a common cause of implausible weights and incorrect take-off calculations.
- Configure optional services: enter the flight-planning identifier requested by the EFB if you use SimBrief. If the field asks for a Pilot ID or User ID, use that identifier rather than an email address or account display name. A chart account is only required for integrated charts.
- Import the flight briefing: generate a valid flight release, then use the request, import or refresh control on the EFB’s flight or dispatch page. Labels can move slightly between aircraft content updates. Confirm the origin, destination, runway, fuel and payload rather than assuming the newest release is the intended one.
- Load fuel and payload: import the planned figures or enter them manually, then press the page’s load, apply or board command. Entering a target does not necessarily put it into the aeroplane. If progressive loading is enabled, wait for boarding and fuelling to finish.
- Program and check the MCDU: use the A320neo V2’s flight-plan request function where supported, or enter the route manually. Inspect the MCDU flight-plan page for discontinuities, runway changes and an incorrect arrival.
- Calculate take-off performance: after loading is complete, enter the actual runway, intersection, weather, runway condition and aircraft configuration. Transfer or verify the resulting speeds and other take-off data in the MCDU before departure.
Use one source to control the load. If you apply fuel and payload through the EFB and then alter them through the MSFS weight-and-balance screen, the second method can overwrite the first.

Does the EFB load the MCDU automatically?
An imported briefing appearing on the EFB does not guarantee that the route, weights or performance data have populated the MCDU. The tablet, FMGS and MSFS World Map can act as separate data sources.
After every import, check the MCDU’s INIT and F-PLN pages. Confirm the departure and arrival, remove genuine route discontinuities only after reviewing them, and verify zero-fuel weight, centre of gravity and block fuel against the loaded aircraft. A mistake we see constantly is mixing a World Map route with a different SimBrief release. Choose one planned route, or at least make certain both sources use the same airports, runways and routing.
How should I use the take-off calculator?
Calculate take-off performance only after the final payload and fuel are loaded. Supply the departure runway and intersection, runway condition, wind, outside-air temperature, pressure, take-off weight, flap configuration, packs and anti-ice state where those fields are offered.
The result may include V1, VR, V2, an assumed temperature and trim information. Enter or verify those values on the MCDU’s take-off performance page; the calculation alone does not set the flaps, trim, packs or anti-ice. Recalculate after any material change to weight, runway, weather or configuration.
Why is the A320neo V2 EFB black or not importing?
